Alpine Blue
Contrasts in photography are not just made through light vs. shadow, but can also be composed in terms of contrasting concepts. Here, I sought to capture in the same scene the concepts of permanence and impermanence. The fleeting light of a blue hour sky, versus the immovable north face of Rainier (Tahoma). The delicate autumn foliage versus the gnarled juniper trunks. All in an attempt to craft a fitting portrait of an icon.
